1. Close any open applications.
2. Press to restart the computer.
3. Press
Note: The Acer Recovery screen will display.
4. Choose one of the following options:
Advanced > Recovery from Start
or
Advanced > Recovery from Selected Device

5. If you are prompted for a password, enter it.
6. The Acer Recovery screen will display.
7. Choose one of the following options:
Recovery > Recovery From Image
or
Recovery > Change Recovery Settings

8. You will be presented with a restore dialogue.
9. Choose “Copy to a USB drive”, and proceed with the following options.
Select USB Drive >
Select First Drive (EFI) >
Click Continue >
Click Restore to Acer W510
Restore from Image
10. Windows will display the restore screen with a “Restore Now” option.
11. Click the “Restore now” button.
12. The restore progress will display on the screen.
13. The restore is completed and Windows 8/8.1 will restart.
If you are prompted for a password, enter it.
14. The Windows 10 Welcome screen will appear.
15. Proceed with the Update Install.
16. When the Setup is complete, you will see the Windows 10 Welcome screen again.
17. If you are prompted to Remove Acer Recovery, choose Yes.

I have successfully used an Ubuntu Live USB to boot my Acer Aspire E1-510, then used the following commands:
sudo dd if=/dev/sda of=sda.iso bs=4M
sudo mkfs.fat -F 32 -n “Windows 10” /dev/sda1
sudo mount -o loop sda.iso /mnt
sudo cp -a /mnt/EFI/* /mnt/EFI/
sudo cp -a /mnt/ntldr /mnt/EFI/
sudo cp -a /mnt/winre /mnt/EFI/
sudo umount /mnt
sudo reboot

There is no bootloader available for this model of laptop, so your only solution is to have a windows recovery media (up to date, with system restore).
If you lost your recovery media or cannot access the windows cd/dvd that you have available, the only way you can accomplish this is by following one of the guides from these sites:
