Since its initial release, AutoCAD has been updated regularly and many more features and enhancements have been added over the years. At present, versions are available for Microsoft Windows, macOS, and iOS, as well as a discontinued Linux version. AutoCAD files are also usable in Adobe Creative Cloud and other vector graphics programs. For a list of related articles, see the Glossary.
AutoCAD’s history began in 1982 with the creation of an internal company tool called AutoDraw, which is now a part of AutoCAD. The first version was released in 1983. AutoDraw is used for technical drawings such as architecture and engineering.
During the late 1980s, Autodesk experimented with making a lightweight Windows 2.x graphical interface to the CGM/CAD Engine (which was based on the NCG CGM/CAD Software Development Kit (SDK), a C language library, originally developed in 1977). These prototype operating systems were called the “New Workstation and New Operating Environment” (NWO) and “New Workstation”. This interface was later known as “WDM” and was used in a number of products, including the Autodesk Architectural Desktop. This interface was replaced by the Windows interface in 1990 when the Windows version of the CGM/CAD Engine was introduced.
The first released Microsoft Windows version of AutoCAD was AutoCAD LT. It was released for Windows 3.1 in 1988. In 1989, the first iteration of the “feature-rich” AutoCAD (known at the time as AutoCAD MX) was released. Autodesk AutoCAD introduced 2D and 3D DWG support.
In 1990, Autodesk introduced the architectural desktop named Autodesk Architectural Desktop. The desktop was renamed Autodesk Architectural Desktop in 1991. This desktop was superseded in 1994 by the Autodesk Architectural Desktop for Windows, which included many of the same features.
Autodesk DWGMLite was introduced in 1991 as an online DWG Viewer that could be accessed via the Internet. In 1992, Autodesk DWGMLite for Windows was introduced, which allowed users to view, view and create DWG files from within Windows 3.1. Autodesk AutoCAD was also introduced in 1992.
The Mac version of AutoCAD began as AutoCAD 2D in 1990 for the Macintosh, and introduced the capability to create 3D models
As a drawing program, AutoCAD uses graphical interface, and consists of a number of different software components. These include:
A drawing package. A graphical windowing system, which provides a programming language called ULP and scripting language called UTS, for users to make and modify drawings.
A viewer, which renders AutoCAD drawings to raster or vector images, for display on screen and printers. Viewer also exports the drawings to most other graphic file formats.
Modules, which are plug-ins for AutoCAD’s drawing package. This allows user to make new drawing objects such as doors, walls, and floors, draw traces, imported drawings, model views, as well as modify existing objects such as plane fitting, merge, trim, and so on. Modules may also generate new drawings or modify existing drawings by adding or subtracting components.
The interface for AutoCAD 2007 is based on the ribbon interface, which is similar to the one used in Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel. On Windows, AutoCAD is initially installed with the default language of AutoCAD as the primary language. The language and all drawing objects are available for editing in that language. The basic editor for freehand drawing is called “cadEdit” (first introduced in AutoCAD LT 2008). Editing features are similar to those in AutoCAD’s main drawing editor, such as the ability to create and edit object properties, dimension objects, text objects, and so on. Other drawing editor is called “cadTools” (first introduced in AutoCAD LT 2009), which is aimed at those who want to edit drawings by creating and editing layers, converting AutoCAD drawings to other formats, and converting drawings from another platform into AutoCAD format.
AutoCAD is included in the default install of AutoCAD LT 2008 for Windows and is the only supported CAD program for the Microsoft Windows operating system.
In Windows 7 AutoCAD 2011 is no longer installed by default as it was in Windows Vista. The Mac version of AutoCAD does not yet have an installer. There is no support for Mac OS X at this time.
In AutoCAD 2013 and higher, the Ribbon interface and the other Windows-based features have been moved to a separate program called AutoCAD R2014.
AutoCAD LT 2007 only supports Windows. AutoCAD LT 2009 and AutoCAD LT 2010 do not support Windows, but it
Open your.DWG file and go to the menu section.
Under the keygen section enter “install keygen” and hit OK.
You may need to go to the autocad start menu and select keygen to start the process.
Once the download is finished, close autocad, open Autodesk and go to the menu again.
Under the keygen section press X. This will uninstall the Autocad keygen.
Now go back to Autodesk Autocad and the keygen will be under the keygen section again.
You can now install a keygen by going to keygen>Install Keygen.
Once you have installed the keygen. You can press F1. This will open the keygen to setup you should follow the instructions below to install the keygen:
Go to the Autocad Start Menu and select keygen.
You should now see the Keygen on the screen and hit OK.
The keygen will start the process.
The process may take a while. You will see progress information and once the process is complete. You should see a message saying you have been successfully installed.

Note: When you first run the keygen, you may see the message ‘This was a new install of Autocad, and a previous keygen was installed.’ This message will not show on subsequent runs of the keygen.
