AutoCAD is the product of a company that has been continuously reinventing itself since its inception in 1962 by John Walker. In 1974, it became Autodesk, Inc. (a Delaware corporation), and has remained there since. In the mid-1990s Autodesk began selling its products both as software (for individual users) and as services (for individual and corporate users).
The AutoCAD product is available in two models: AutoCAD LT (for individual users) and AutoCAD Premium (for individual and corporate users). There is also a specialized version of the software called AutoCAD Architecture, designed for architectural design and engineering. Autodesk also offers AutoCAD 360, a cloud-based and web-based service that allows users to share designs and information between devices and computers.

AutoCAD is developed by Autodesk and is available for purchase and license through a number of channels. AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT are available for purchase on a “per seat” basis, with each seat representing one individual license of the software. The license fee will usually be based on a yearly user activity count (UAC). AutoCAD Premium and AutoCAD Architecture are available for purchase through a subscription basis, usually based on the number of seats purchased. Autodesk offers a “per seat” license for AutoCAD Premium and AutoCAD Architecture.
AutoCAD LT
AutoCAD LT is the freeware version of AutoCAD, available for use on up to five computers. The main difference between AutoCAD LT and AutoCAD is the type of graphic display and the look and feel of the user interface. AutoCAD LT runs on Microsoft Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7. It has a similar type of user interface as that of a simple word processor. Unlike AutoCAD, AutoCAD LT has no scripting language and no advanced features such as hidden commands, custom properties, groups, inspectors, markers and dynamic display of properties, which are used in the more expensive versions of AutoCAD. AutoCAD LT also has no options for placing common control elements such as rulers, grids, grids references, guides, palettes and templates, nor can it import and export external images
Autodesk LightWave 3D software can import and export DWG and DXF formats.
In 3ds Max, there is a plugin that allows importing and exporting 3ds Max’s own file format 3ds Max DM, which is an XML-based file format.
XNEST allows the creation of distributed modeling and simulation environments. XNEST uses the Internet to exchange information with other client systems and is implemented in C++. XNEST operates as a server, and is accessible through TCP/IP. For a user interface, a GUI is available, which can be embedded in other applications. XNEST is part of a family of the X-based networked applications, which include X-Plane, X-Precision, X-View, and X-Vantage.
Adobe InDesign has a feature called “Smart Extract” that can be used to import and export DWG and DXF formats.
Fusion 360 has a plugin that supports DWG and DXF.
History
The first version of AutoCAD was a menu-driven program, but this was replaced by a more traditional Windows GUI in AutoCAD 2. The original version for DOS was released in 1987. A version for Microsoft Windows was released in 1992, using the MS-DOS platform.
AutoCAD 2000 was released in 1999 for MS-DOS and Windows. This was followed by AutoCAD LT for DOS, based on AutoCAD 2000.
AutoCAD LT for Windows 2000 was released in 2000.
In 2003, a new version was released: AutoCAD 2003. This version came with new features and was also released as a Windows XP operating system application and for MS-DOS.
In 2006, AutoCAD was released for the Windows Vista operating system. AutoCAD 2007 was released in 2007 for both MS-DOS and the Windows operating system.
AutoCAD 2009 was released in 2009 for Windows XP and Windows Vista and for MS-DOS.
In 2012, AutoCAD 2014 was released for Windows and MS-DOS. AutoCAD 2016 was released in 2016.
AutoCAD 2017 was released in 2017 for Windows and MS-DOS.
AutoCAD 2018 was released in 2018 for Windows and MS-DOS.
In 2019, AutoCAD 2020 was released for Windows and MS-DOS.

Button with rounded corners
I would like to add a button with rounded corners to my android application. I saw some examples of this on other questions but it doesn’t seem to work for me. Below is the layout xml I used to create the button and the custom style I created for it:
Insert from file: The Insert feature is new to AutoCAD 2023. This is the fastest and easiest way to import and insert content directly from a file (pdf, image, drawing, 3D model, etc.) into a drawing.
Drawing Results pane:
An attractive new user interface and experience with multiple design views that make creating drawings even easier.
You can interact with your drawings directly in the Results Pane. Drag-and-drop a drawing to open it in the Results Pane. Keep your designs up to date by dragging drawings to the Results Pane.
Use the New… button in the lower-left corner to interact with drawings in the Results Pane. Choose Add, View, Export, Print, Export to PDF, Import, Delete, Open, or Open in an external application.
You can create a new blank drawing by selecting an existing drawing in the Results Pane and using the New… button in the lower-left corner. You can also import a drawing that is already opened in a different application or use a copy command.
New! Go to menu: The new Go to menu can be opened by pressing the F2 key or using the Go to menu ( right-click a drawing ) and choosing Go to.
The new Go to menu can be opened by pressing the F2 key or using the menu (right-click a drawing) and choosing Go to. New! Snap to distances:
Snap to distances is new in AutoCAD 2023. When you use the Snap to selected points, lines, and objects, you can now define the distance. You can now select specific distance values, such as 5.0 millimeters or 5.0 centimeters.
New! 2D and 3D tooltips:
AutoCAD 2017 and later versions use tooltips that display dynamic information, such as a drawing outline, 3D wireframe, or a property’s value.
The new 2D and 3D tooltips include similar functionality with new types of visual effects. The 2D and 3D tooltips can be displayed as line, rectangle, or arrow. You can change the text that is displayed, as well as the background and border colors.
New! Color, weight, and style lists for editing attributes.
When you edit a design element’s appearance, you can customize the type of appearance. For example, you can select Color, Weight, or Style.
